Destination: London South Bank University
Subject: Chemical and Process Engineering
Date of Leaving Hatch End High School: July 2015
After completing my A Levels at Hatch End High School, I started studying Chemical and Process Engineering at Southbank University. Life at University is completely different from A-Levels, the amount of work being taught and done makes for the biggest difference, but it is very well worth it, especially when a degree has become a standard when applying for work in the industry. But advanced materials and content isn´t the only thing Universities provide. They also provide opportunities and industrial contacts, which will prove to be vital if you´re looking for a successful career. Industrial placements can put you a cut above the rest when you are in the market looking for jobs.
My advice to current students would be to face your challenges head on, always remember to give it your maximum effort and don't be shy to ask for guidance. The staff at Hatch End High School are excellent and were able to guide me to where I am right now.
