Hatch End High School is a high performing, happy and thriving comprehensive school in the London Borough of Harrow.
The school has a rich history of tradition but actively embraces the very best of new technologies and innovative practice. We have a high profile in the community, supporting other schools and play a lead role in training the next generation of teachers.
We are conveniently situated in the north west of the borough with easy access to Central Harrow as well as Hertfordshire, Brent, Hillingdon and Barnet.
I am very proud to say that our students consistently make outstanding progress and we are consistently in the highest performing schools nationally for both GCSE and A Level performance. However, this academic excellence is paralleled by our equal commitment to develop the personality, talents and abilities of all our students. Our enrichment programme is second to none. We care about our young people as individuals which means always ensuring a careful balance between challenge and support.
Ofsted, when they visited in 2013, picked up immediately on the palpable sense of inclusion, nurturing and rigour at Hatch End High School when they acknowledged in the very first line of the report – “Students thrive in this school." Again in 2018, they confirmed that, "Pupils say they feel part of a harmonious community".
In July 2018, we were recognised nationally in our gaining the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM), which states our Pastoral and Inclusion work is “exceptional”.
