Applying to our Sixth Form

Assistant HeadteacherWelcome and thank you for thinking about applying to our highly successful and inclusive Sixth Form which has added value to students' results every year of its existence.

We are oversubscribed in many subject areas, but are also able to admit a few students from outside of Hatch End High School. We are especially proud of how quickly these students become successful, prominent and happy members of our school.

It is not hard to apply: Harrow students just download and complete the two-page application form below.

Any questions, please contact me directly on my personal email address: richards@hatchend.harrow.sch.uk or give me a ring on 020 8428 4330 (Ext 2089).

I look forward to hearing from you.

Applying to our Sixth Form if you study at Hatch End High School

You are warmly invited to attend our Open Evening on Thursday, 12th October from 6.30 p.m. - 8.00 p.m. during which time you will be provided with an overview of the post-16 application process, be able to find out more information about particular courses and subjects from specialist teachers and current Sixth Formers as well as being able to meet representatives from other providers (e.g. local colleges).

Following our Open Evening all students in our Year 11 will be given a Harrow Collegiate application form via tutor groups. There is support, information and guidance offered to assist with the completion of this form as well as applications to institutions not within the Harrow Collegiate. The Harrow Collegiate application form needs to be submitted to your form tutor or Ms Akbulut in J18 by the first Friday in February and applications will then be considered against our entry criteria. Students may be asked to attend additional guidance meetings where aspirations are discussed and subjects choices are negotiated according to individual preferences and school availability.

Offer letters are issued to applicants who meet or are expected to meet our entry criteria. Students attend induction days just after GCSEs finish and subject changes can be undertaken subsequent to an offer being made, following the induction days or even on GCSE results’ day, pending availability.
