Laying The Foundations

Posted on: 27/11/2018

As our building contractor, Kier, nears the end of the first five months of our rebuild, we can now really start to see the progress and shape of our new school. There has been a daily stream of delivery vehicles, diggers, dumpers, cranes and cement trucks. The process is fascinating to watch - a strategic and complex choreography of manpower and machine. The photograph above, was taken from the construction site cabin, and show how the foundations have been laid out. Although the work can be viewed from Headstone Lane, this ‘birds eye view’ captures the scale and complexity of the new build. Despite the diversion to the front of the school, the temporary pathway is working well, and we thank everyone for their support in heeding the builder’s parameters which are in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone on and around the site. We will continue to give updates on the progress of this exciting project.
