Welcome Year 7!

Posted on: 06/09/2021

On behalf of everyone on the Year 7 Team, we would like to wish you a HUGE welcome to Hatch End High School and a big well done to Year 7 as they complete their second full week of school.

Year 7 have settled in extremely well and their behaviour has been exemplary. We have had so many positive comments from teachers and staff around the school, which are lovely to hear.

We are very proud of them all! Here are some lovely photos that Miss Dunford took of some Year 7 students as they came in for their first full day of school on Monday 6th September.

This term, Year 7 will be raising money for the Choose Love charity, helping refugees around the world receive the help and care they desperately need.

This charity was founded in the UK in 2015 and since then, has become an international charity, helping over 1 million refugees.

To find out more about Choose Love, please follow this link: Help Refugees - a charity with minimal overheads and maximum impact Charity work is a great way for students to develop their sense of empathy and also ties into our school ethos of WE CARE. It helps to build students’ co-operation skills through team work but also their sense of ambition, as they take ownership of this project and get to see the end product of their hard work and efforts.

Students are currently in the process of brainstorming fundraising ideas and they have come up with some really innovative ways of helping. We are really excited to see how their plans will come into action.
