What do parents and students want from an outstanding secondary school education?
In my experience, parents want their daughters and sons to be taught an engaging curriculum at a level suited to their needs, with high expectations in a safe and caring environment. Hatch End High is a school where academic excellence is paralleled by a commitment to develop the personality, talents and abilities of all its students. We uphold and develop traditional values whilst embracing new and stimulating innovative practice. As a thriving, forward looking school with ‘high performing dual specialist’ academy status, we provide outstanding quality, all round education for young people aged 11 - 18.
Students are stretched to achieve their maximum potential. Public examination results are well above the national average and the school enjoys exceptional success in many other areas such as music, the arts and sport. Hatch End High has created a purposeful and effective learning environment, rich in opportunities for personal fulfilment and success.
There is, however, something else we do which is really special; our school is underpinned by a strong ethos of mutual co-operation and respect which creates an environment where students and staff work together in harmony and learn from each other.
