Welcome Message from the Headteacher

Home

Deciding on a secondary school for your child can be daunting. The educational agenda has changed substantially over the last few years with parents being ever bombarded with new statistics and performance measures. However, in many other ways, the choice is what it has always been, with parents simply wanting the best for their child.

I am very proud to say that our students consistently make outstanding progress and in 2015, we were in the top 10% of all schools nationally for GCSE and A Level performance. However, this academic excellence is paralleled by our equal commitment to develop the personality, talents and abilities of ALL our students. As a forward looking community, we know that a truly great school never says it’s perfect, and seeks constantly for ways to improve by embracing new and stimulating innovative practice.

Our core values and ethos are simple - We CARE about ensuring each and every child is enabled to be successful in life and make a positive contribution to society.

Ofsted, when they visited in 2013, picked up immediately on the palpable sense of inclusion at Hatch End when they acknowledged in the very first line of their report – “Students thrive in this school.”

Come and visit us at any time – speak to our wonderful students and staff - and make up your own mind.

We look forward to meeting you!
