Mental Health Focus Week

Posted on: 12/07/2022

During the week of 4th - 8th July, Mrs Hayward our Mental Health Lead and the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors ran our very first Mental Health Focus Week for students to raise money for Mind in Harrow, The Molly Rose Foundation and Harrow Samaritans.

Throughout the week, students were able to take part in fun activities at break times - from Tug of War and floor painting, to throwing wet sponges at teachers!

We also had sales of cupcakes, lemonade, ice creams and merchandise including necklaces, mental health angel keyrings, flower crowns, squishie companions and stress stars.

In Tutor time, students watched Mental Health presentations and took part in a quiz. Students in each year group (and staff!) played a ‘guess the number of sweets in the box’ game - congratulations to all our winners.

Assemblies were run by Mind in Harrow on the Five Ways to Wellbeing and Year 12 students all completed a workshop run by Harrow Samaritans.

The week ended with a non-uniform day, thank you to all those who donated a £1.00 and took part.

It really was a fun-packed week and huge thanks goes to all staff, students, parents and carers who supported the events and raised a phenomenal amount of money…approximately £1,000!
