An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Business Teacher to join our teaching and learning leadership team as a Lead Practitioner, BTEC lead or as a mainscale teacher.  The opportunity to teach Economics is also available.  Business is a hugely popular subject at both KS4 & KS5 and we also offer BTEC Science, PE & Health & Social care. 

The lead practitioner role would skilfully support and lead colleagues to deliver excellence in all Vocational Studies in relation to curriculum design, implementation and outcomes. They will be responsible for leading professional learning across the school and will possess a deep understanding of pedagogy.  They will lead on an additional whole school area of the SIP and be the BTEC Quality Nominee for the school plus any similar roles for other vocational entries. Hatch End has Lead Practitioners in all core subjects and they work together to lead teaching and learning across the school as well as in their departments. 

The BTEC Lead role would be lead BTEC Business at KS4&5 and also be the BTEC Quality Nominee for the school plus any similar roles for other vocational entries.

  • have a proven and demonstrable track record of success at KS4 & 5;
  • have a good understanding of the current educational developments, especially those relating to classroom based practice;
