Bartlomiej Kardasz Year 12 – Goldsmiths University of London Summer School In this Summer School, Bart will get the opportunity to explore different art forms such as photography, painting, film, and sculpture in his own Goldsmiths studio while working alongside Goldsmiths students and other artists. He will also attend various talks practicing artists, to discover what it takes to become a professional artist, visiting local galleries to explore how art is created in the local community. Bart’s creations will lead to a final exhibition of his work at Goldsmiths at the end of the summer school.

A brilliant opportunity to grab, Bart will now be guaranteed an interview for the BA Fine Art course at Goldsmiths (after applying and submitting a full application on UCAS).

Nell McHugh Year 12 – London College of fashion
This Summer School will introduce Nell to the range of fashion design and craft courses at LCF. She’ll work on a brief to develop her skills in research, drawing, design and development. Their tutors will introduce Nell to traditional and contemporary crafts (and machinery) used in tailoring, contour and pattern cutting. Nell will then create a series of design sheets, drawings, samples and a garment toile.

Art competition – YASS Royal Academy of Arts Young Artists’ Summer School
A huge congratulations to all of our students that entered the Royal Academy’s Young Artists Summer Show. Unfortunately, none were fortunate enough to get shortlisted this year but there’s always next year! However, if you like looking at artwork and would like to see the shortlisted works and maybe even vote for your personal favourite in the People’s choice, please follow the link here:
