After finishing my A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and History at Hatch End High School Sixth Form, I am now studying Biomedical Science at the University of Hertfordshire and thoroughly enjoying my course. I think that the most important skills I have gained from university have been learning how to manage my time and workload more efficiently, as well as the personal and communication skills that come with collaborating with others. These have been particularly beneficial to me, especially as I am currently in the process of making my applications for a placement year. I have found that, if you grasp all the opportunities university has to offer, you will gain not just a degree but skills and experiences that will benefit you far beyond your academic studies, both professionally and personally.

My advice to prospective students is to put in your best effort in all that you do – work hard, be positive and open to feedback and grasp all the opportunities available to you – you never know where they could lead you.
