Francis Crick Institute Exhibition

Before half-term, Year 12 A Level Biology and BTEC Applied Science students visited ‘Outwitting Cancer’, an exhibition currently held at The Francis Crick Institute in London.

The exhibition showcases current research by scientists to help us understand Cancer better and formulate new treatment options.

The exhibition comprised first of an immersive video experience, followed by a series of clips of scientists explaining how the work they are doing helps to explain what Cancer is, what causes it, and why there are so many reasons to be hopeful.

The exhibition ended with an area dedicated to writing messages to scientists and survivors.

Year 12 were given the opportunity to explore and consider career options related to Science, which they may not have considered before.

Well done to all our Year 12 students that took part in this fascinating visit.
