Year 8 Routes to Success Workshop

Over the past three weeks, a group of Year 8 students have had the opportunity to take part in workshops to support the student’s personal development, aspirations and holistic education. 

The Routes2Success programme is an initiative that has been developed by Action for Equality - who aim to match ethnic minority volunteer role models and mentors with young people, to provide positive inspirational and motivational workshops, alongside sharing stories of their journey and  success in their chosen careers. 

One of our participants, Neo, said that he enjoyed having space to identify barriers to achieving his goals and discussing ways and strategies he could use to overcome them.

All of the students felt that the sessions were very valuable and that they can go on to use and apply the strategies in lessons and in life.
