Year 10 Geography Field Trip

Posted on: 17/06/2022

Hatch End High School Year 10 Geographers were upon the River Wye in High Wycombe earlier this week.

The weather was glorious for a day in the field collecting data with the Amersham Field Studies Council.

Students were tasked with coming up with conducting a risk assessment, formulating a hypothesis and collecting qualitative and quantitative data.

This is a crucial part of the GCSE syllabus and will form the foundations of Paper 3, which is 25% of the course.

Students displayed fantastic problem solving skills, showed innovative behaviours, and most importantly, worked together well in teams to collect their data and reach sound conclusions.
