Year 8 and 9 Extend Students Celebrate Success at Thorpe Park

Posted on: 02/06/2026

Our Year 8 and Year 9 Extend students recently enjoyed a well-deserved reward trip to Thorpe Park, celebrating their outstanding achievements throughout this year’s Extend programme.

To earn their place on the trip, students demonstrated exceptional commitment, resilience and independence. Over the course of the programme, they successfully completed a wide range of challenging activities, including delivering presentations, attending workshops, engaging in critical thinking sessions and careers talks, and completing independent study tasks in preparation for their assessments. Their dedication and enthusiasm truly reflected the high standards we encourage across the school.

The trip to Thorpe Park was a fantastic opportunity to recognise their hard work. Students made the most of the day, showing great courage and teamwork as they took on all of the park’s major rides. From adrenaline filled rollercoasters to shared moments of excitement and laughter, the day was filled with memorable experiences. Many students even managed to win some impressively large stuffed prizes, adding to the fun and sense of achievement.

Most importantly, the trip provided a chance for students to celebrate their success together and enjoy the rewards of their efforts. They represented the school brilliantly throughout the day and were a credit to the Extend programme.
