Year 8 Headteachers’ Breakfast Celebrates Top Achievers

Posted on: 09/01/2026

Fifty of Year Eight’s highest‑achieving students were honoured this morning at the Headteachers’ Breakfast, a special event held to celebrate outstanding performance in the recent academic assessments.

The breakfast recognised the top 50 students with the highest progress scores in the year group. The atmosphere was warm and celebratory as students enjoyed a well‑deserved treat in recognition of their hard work and commitment to their studies.

The event was led by Mrs Jeanes, Headteacher, alongside Ms George, Head of Year 8, both of whom expressed immense pride in the students’ achievements.

“We are incredibly proud of every student here today,” Ms George said. “Their dedication, resilience, and attitude to learning have truly shone through.”

Students were treated to a delicious breakfast selection featuring hot chocolates, fresh croissants, pain au chocolate, and a colourful assortment of beautiful fruit. The spread created a warm and inviting atmosphere, allowing students to relax and celebrate together.

Supporting the event were five dedicated peer leaders, who volunteered their morning to help set up, host, and serve their fellow students. Their contribution played a key role in making the breakfast a smooth and enjoyable experience for all involved.

As the celebration drew to a close, both staff and students reflected on the importance of recognising hard work and fostering pride within the school community.

Congratulations to all the students who attended — and to everyone who supported the event. Your efforts continue to make Year Eight a vibrant, hardworking, and supportive year group.
