The London Big Half Marathon

Posted on: 07/09/2025

A team of year 13s left Hatch End High School at 6am on Sunday 7th September to volunteer at the The London Big Half Marathon. This is a vibrant, inclusive half marathon that celebrates the diversity of London and the communities of the four boroughs the route passes through: Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lewisham and Greenwich. The group gave out water to 17,000 athletes running on behalf of over 100 charities 3 miles in to the 13-mile course.  They were fantastic, their positivity, enthusiasm and loud voices were much appreciated by the runners
