Kanneh-Mason Visit

Our year 11 music students were fortunate to be invited to attend an inspiring talk by Dr Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason and her son Braimah. They spoke about challenges for musicians and their parents and how Dr Kadiatu supported her seven children with their musical dreams. Dr Kadiatu spoke about her book ‘To be Young, Gifted and Black’ and what inspired her to write the book.

Our students enjoyed a short solo violin performance by Braimah Kanneh-Mason and found the visit ‘inspirational’.
