Year 11 Shine on Their Osmington Bay Residential
Posted on: 27/10/2025Over half term, a group of our Year 11 students took part in a fantastic residential trip to Osmington Bay PGL, combining valuable revision sessions with a range of exciting outdoor and team-building activities.
Throughout the week, students showed great enthusiasm and spirit as they took on the zip wire, tried their hand at axe throwing, and enjoyed an unforgettable session of paddle boarding at the Weymouth Yacht Club — a venue famous for hosting the 2012 Olympic sailing events. Despite a particularly windy and choppy day, students showed brilliant determination (and balance!) as they made the most of the experience and particularly enjoyed being able to throw their teachers in the sea!
In the evenings, they continued to impress with their energy and teamwork during activities such as Ambush in the dark, which proved to be a firm favourite!
Staff were hugely impressed by the students’ positive attitude, maturity, and excellent behaviour throughout the residential. They were a real credit to the school, representing our values superbly and supporting one another in every challenge.
