F1aXCthXgAIZZxpOn Tuesday 18th July, Hatch End High School were very fortunate to have a visit from the incredibly skilled Goldsmiths’ Centre jewellers Ellis Mhairi Cameron and Emefa Cole.

Ellis and Emefa came in to work with our future Year 10 GCSE Art, Craft and Design group, a number of Sixth Form pupils, as well as students that make their own jewellery and attend Art Club regularly in other year groups.

The whole class enjoyed the experience of meeting and interacting with the Goldsmiths Jewellers, as well as sculpting and casting their own object / pendant.

Here are some comments from some of our students that participated:

“I found it really fun, I like how we got to do something a bit different so it wasn’t just drawing. I’m also really happy with how mine turned out!” Alicja, Year 9

“It was really fun and interesting. It was nice to learn how we can make our own jewellery.” Daniella, Year 9

“It was really nice because it was something new and a wonderful experience.” Maryam, Year 7

A huge well done to all of our students that took part!
